原名Gianni Pacinotti的Gipi 1992年开始漫画生涯，代表作有《一场战争的笔记》、《我的生活的糟糕绘本》等，擅长描绘日常生活，作品常常嬉笑怒骂而又富有诗意，而从小开始玩超8摄像机的他也一直在拍摄电影短片。2010年读到另一位意大利漫画家Giacomo Monti的《没有人会伤害我》之后他便买下了改编版权，并且得到了意大利著名制作人多米尼科·伯加齐（《格莫拉》、《教皇诞生》）的大力支持。在这部影片中，长着大大的银色脑袋和深陷双眼的外星人来到地球不是为了“侵略”，而是来帮助人类解决彼此之间的沟通障碍。
