　　Most Remarkable Film I Have Ever Seen
　　While definitely not for everyone, this movie effectively captures J.G. Ballard's difficult novel of the same name. More visual than literal, The Atrocity Exhibition forces the viewer to re-think the art of film and of story telling. It effectively communicates in a new language that caused some who saw it to declare that it 'changed their lives'. It changed mine as well, although I'm not exactly sure in what way. And while I can't say that I completely 'got ' the story, the story that I got was fascinating and one that I can't forget. I've since read the book and that certainly helped, but it wasn't necessary to enjoy the film. This film stands as one of my favorites alongside the best works of Kubrick, the Coen brothers and Hitchcock.

　　在一个黑暗逼仄的空间内，恐怖小说家李素熙（朴寒星 饰）、大学毕业的无业人员崔植浩（金基石 饰）、高二女学生朴仁贞（朴真珠 饰）从昏迷中醒来，他们彼此间互不相识，也不知道何时来到此地。最初的惶恐过后，三人摸索着从这间地下室出来，进入附近的一幢房屋内。屋里设施齐全，极具生活气息，但是却不见其他的人影。他们试图从这片森林中逃脱，然而始终找不到出口。与此同时，诡异的事件相继在他们周围发生，莫名的恐慌席卷每一个人的心头，黑暗中仿佛存在一个杀人犯随时准备夺取他们的性命。
　　在相互提醒之下，他们失落的记忆渐渐复苏，可是那似乎是难以正视的恐怖真相……

　　马里兰州德瑞镇，是一座籍由伐木业形成的城镇。但从建镇那天起，这里似乎就有一个小丑（Tim Curry 饰）存在，但他绝非善类，反而以残害儿童为乐。
　　被坏孩子们欺负并称为窝囊废俱乐部的比利、麦克、史坦、贝芙、艾迪、本和瑞奇组成了幸运七人组。比利（Jonathan Brandis 饰）的弟弟乔治雨天玩耍时撞见小丑，失去了性命。他们从麦克（Marlon Taylor 饰）的家族相册中得知小丑的存在，而小丑也开始威胁孩子们的生命。七人组的孩子为了给乔治报仇，并保护镇上的孩子们，他们决心消灭小丑。经过一番激战，小丑带伤逃遁，三十年后，这个邪恶的魔鬼重返德瑞小镇……

2008年，不死之身的面具杰森魔（Jason Voorhees）被由美国政府抓获，并送至水晶湖实验室（Crystal Lake）研究。2010年，一群政府的科学家组成的研究团队为了要真正了解他的构造，想要将他冰冻起来，做进一步的解剖。但由于科学家们的过于自负与轻敌，使得杰森打破了他的束缚并终结了所有团队成员。最后，一个名叫罗恩（Rowan）的队员在紧急时刻还是将杰森关进了急速冷冻库中。由于这个秘密实验室的所有的人都被杀死，因此这个实验室长时期不被人所知。

四百多年后的2455年，那时候的地球因为被人类过度开发和利用，早已经荒无人烟，人类也早已集体迁移至其他星体上居住。这一年的某一天，一支探险队乘坐飞船对地球进行科学考察时发现了已经作古的水晶湖实验室，并发现了罗恩和杰森，但科研人员并不知道他们的身份。并把他们两个带回飞船进行研究。

科研人员利用先进的科学技术使得被冰冻住了几百年的罗恩复生，当从罗恩那得知，那个被他们带上船的那位男子是个不死的杀人恶魔时，科研人员不以为然，认为他已经死亡。但是，飞船上的杰森很快就复活，并就找回了他残忍冷血的杀手本性，并试图杀死飞船上的所有人。科研小组派出的各种训练有素的士兵，使用的各种最先进的高端武器都不能置他于死地，反而将他变得更加强大。飞船上的成员们在对抗和躲闪中一个接一个死于他的魔爪之下，在这与世隔绝的太空船上，谁才能阻止杰森呢……

　　A cloaked figure slips into an exclusive psychiatric clinic and murders one of the female patients. Meanwhile, various sexuals liaisons are revealed. The mystery killer continues with his massacre: he beheads a nurse with a scythe, pushes a chauffeur into a spiked “Iron Maiden”, strangles an older female patient, kills a nymphomaniac with an axe, and shoots a lesbian through the neck with a crossbow. Doctor Clay and the police set a trap for the killer using one of the attractive female patients as bait. However, they are not prepared for the onslaugth that follows…

　　Stuart Gordon, considered a master of the horror genre thanks to classics like Re-Animator and Dagon, decides to do a different move in this strange trip to human morals.
　　
　　"King of the Ants" is about a regular guy, Sean Crawley(newcomer Chris McKenna), a man without any aspiration who just live in his apartment doing the necessary job to live to the next day. In one of his jobs he meets Duke(Gearge Wendt), who introduces Sean to his boss, Ray Matthews(played by Daniel Baldwin). Ray hires Sean as a spy, and orders him to follow Eric Gatlin(Roy Livingstone), an accountant who has been investigating Ray's company. Problems start when Ray, while drunk, orders Sean to kill Eric. And he does it. Things go wrong when Ray decides to make Sean disappear destroying his mind with violent punishment and humiliation.
　　
　　From the point where Sean kills Eric, we go in the same boat with him, as he goes through a downward spiral of human degradation, traveling from guilt, to confusion and finally to his rebirth, in a state where humanity, morals and values are not important anymore. Chris McKenna acting is very important because he manages to be likable even when he is part of gruesome acts, both as victim and/or criminal. He has that look of innocence that hides a dark side and he manages to carry the film.
　　
　　The support cast also includes Kari Wuhrer, as Eric's widow who also becomes a central part of Sean's trip to hell. She gives a fine performance, although it's obvious that Sean is the main character. He is the most developed of all and McKenna's performance is up to the challenge.
　　
　　The film has very disturbing images of violence, and while it may not be as graphic as "Kill Bill" for example, the strength of the violence is in the lack of humanity that the character manifest. He is more than an ant in this world. He is the king.
　　
　　Stuart Gordon has managed to create a film that, while maybe it's not one of his best efforts it's very well done, has a VERY interesting story to tell, and manages to capture the attention every second of it.
