快餐店打工仔阿银（周星驰）某日送快餐时邂逅正在武术训练馆学习日本空手道的阿丽（钟丽缇），对其一见钟情。遭遇同样喜欢阿缇的武馆教练林国斌的羞辱后，自觉太弱小的阿银决定拜自称为“魔鬼筋肉人”的达叔（吴孟达）为师，达叔一开始只想骗取阿银的钱财，终被其善良和执着打动，开始教授其中国古拳法。 　　阿丽遇坏人拦截，阿银头戴加菲猫面具出手相救，情急之下从高台上抱着歹徒滚下，却由此创出了“无敌风火轮”，不料事后被林国斌领功。为了证实自己的实力，阿银报名参加了搏击比赛与林国斌决斗，想借此再赢阿丽芳心。

　　Astronomer Bill Whitley is so preoccupied with the new comet he's discovered that his time at the observatory sometimes comes at the expense of his beautiful wife, Vicky. When the neglected spouse becomes influenced by an eccentric neighbor into believing in the power of astrology, she subscribes to a weekly horoscope from a phony seer, the appropriately named Margaret Sybill. When the beautiful Mrs. Whitley reads that a new dream man will be coming soon into her life, she assumes he's taken the form of Lloyd Hunter, a handsome and dashing foreign correspondent who doubles as the neighborhood air raid warden. A frantic Bill realizes that he's going to have to keep closer track of his earthbound heavenly body if he's going to keep the prediction from becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.

　　But their dream of a tour culminating in a last grand show in Paris goes up in smoke when Joachim is betrayed by an old friend and loses the theatre where they were due to perform. An obligatory return journey to the capital violently reopens the old wounds of his past...

　　叱咤黑道的大佬车恩珍（申恩庆 饰）在一场意外中头部受伤，失去了曾经的所有记忆，包括自己的身份。中餐馆老板杰超（朴俊奎 饰）发现了流落在街头的车恩珍，善良的他收留了这个一无所有的女子。就这样，曾经的黑道大佬，如今成为了在餐馆里送外卖的送餐小妹。

　　任职于金融机构的周定发（周润发 饰）。他分别认识了做空姐的Sally（叶倩文 饰）跟开时装店的祖儿（王祖贤 饰）。周定发面对两位天姿国色都无法下决定，难舍其一，于是分别在英国及法国跟两女子结婚。婚后他们回到香港，周定发在好友志雄（李子雄 饰）的帮助下努力周旋与两个老婆之间，笑料百出。可是事情到了后来都是让两个老婆知道了真相，Sally与祖儿气愤不已，打算联合起来报复周定发。

　　失婚中年毛化果，与儿子比利相依为命，房东小钢炮与妻离异后跟女儿猪饱一起生活，小钢炮一向对家庭冷淡又不关心女儿，自从无化果搬来同住后，把家里料理得井井有条，照顾“小”父女无微不至，小钢炮渐受薰陶，变得重视家庭和女儿。这时，毛之前妻却提出要带比利移民加拿大，毛虽力争儿子抚养权却失败。

　　在《大话西游之大圣娶亲》中死在牛魔王叉下的紫霞仙子（唐嫣 饰），将会通过月光宝盒预先看到这一下场，为了避免惨剧发生，她选择回到从前不让至尊宝（韩庚 饰）爱上自己。而至尊宝又再次重逢一直在等待他的白晶晶（莫文蔚 饰）。前世今生的种种爱恨纠葛再次在九道轮回里最后一次上演。
