A fan of the supernatural, she disappeared without a trace after she was offered to play a game that was supposed to take her to another dimension. By evoking the spirit of the Countess, bloggers let otherworldly forces into the world. The one who can bring the demons back will survive.

　　曾经一系列事件让霍斯曼一家经历了巨大的变动。在母亲去世后，作为长子的尼尔（约翰尼·韦斯顿 Jonny Weston 饰）因精神问题与家人暂时离别。两年之后，父亲泰瑞（皮特·霍登 Peter Holden 饰）迎娶新妻安吉拉（穆赛塔·万德 Musetta Vander 饰）。借此机缘，尼尔得以回到家中，并与日夜思念的弟弟保列（盖特林·格里菲斯 Gattlin Griffith 饰）重聚。短暂的快乐并未持续多久，旧日的噩梦很快抬头。尼尔坚信当初他的床下藏有恐怖妖怪，而这一切似乎也与母亲之死些许相关。他依旧神神叨叨的样子令父亲又苦恼又气愤，孤独无助的他只有依靠与自己感情最深的弟弟。

　　Most Remarkable Film I Have Ever Seen
　　While definitely not for everyone, this movie effectively captures J.G. Ballard's difficult novel of the same name. More visual than literal, The Atrocity Exhibition forces the viewer to re-think the art of film and of story telling. It effectively communicates in a new language that caused some who saw it to declare that it 'changed their lives'. It changed mine as well, although I'm not exactly sure in what way. And while I can't say that I completely 'got ' the story, the story that I got was fascinating and one that I can't forget. I've since read the book and that certainly helped, but it wasn't necessary to enjoy the film. This film stands as one of my favorites alongside the best works of Kubrick, the Coen brothers and Hitchcock.

中年男子本（Noah Huntley 饰）的女儿莎拉（Skye Bennett 饰）身染重病，救治不愈。悲伤的本对医院失去信心，他决定带着莎拉离开这里。父女二人走进电梯，同乘的还有护士艾米莉（Dominique McElligott 饰）、医院保安瑞克（Leon Herbert 饰）、怀中抱着缠有绷带的玩具熊的男子约翰（William Hope 饰）以及一个精神失常的老人托比阿斯（Ronald Pickup 饰）。
