　　A quick glimpse at the cast for this film would make any horror fan giddy with glee. The actual movie doesn't live up to those high expectations, but it's far from being all bad. Desi Arnaz Jr. (!) plays an author who makes a crazy $20,000 bet with his publisher that he could write a great novel in only 24 hours. To do so, the publisher gives him the keys to an old abandoned house where he won't be disturbed. Not true. Once he gets there he is interrupted by a multitude of guests including a family which consists of John Carradine, Sheila Keith, Peter Cushing and Vincent Price. They are gathered there in a twisted family reunion to release their brother from the room he's been imprisoned in for forty years. Even Christopher Lee drops by as Corrigan, the man who has just purchased the house. Soon, they realize that the caged brother is loose and out for revenge.
　　What a great plotline and what a dream cast! This movie should have been a hell of a lot better. It's hard to pinpoint the exact problems with the film, but I would venture to say that the lack of lighting was a major fault. Sure the house has no electricity but I think they took the title of the movie a little too literally. Scenes after scenes are barely visible and the actors' faces are undecipherable. Only the moments in the main dinning hall are well lit. Also, the great actors are given very little to do. Cushing gets a few chuckles as the scared brother but Price, Lee and especially Carradine are somewhat wasted here. Well, at least Price gets the best line of the film: `Please don't interrupt me while I am soliloquizing.' And on the plus side, the story has enough twists and turns throughout to keep one`s interest and the ending, while a bit of a cop-out, manages to surprise.

　　Living in Tiger Tail County, Mississippi, middle aged Archie Lee Meighan and nineteen year old "Baby Doll" Meighan née McCargo have been married for close to two years. Their marriage is not based on love, but each getting what they want from the other. Their marriage agreement has them consummating their marriage on her twentieth birthday, which is in three days, the act to which Baby Doll is not really looking forward. But she does taunt him and other men with her overt "baby doll" sexuality, the baby doll aspect which she fosters by sleeping in their house's nursery in a crib. Baby Doll's now deceased father allowed the marriage on the stipulation that Archie Lee provide Baby Doll financial security as displayed by the most resplendent house in the south. They currently live in a dilapidated mansion with her Aunt Rose Comfort, and although Archie Lee is making some renovations on it, he no longer has the financial means to make it what Baby Doll wants as his cotton ginning ... 从小右臂就具神力的大陆青年刘晶（周星驰 饰）来港不久便接连遭遇倒霉事，先是钱包被偷，而后行李也遭人抢劫，不过也因此结识放荡不羁的潇洒（钟镇涛 饰）。刘晶四处寻找工作，却迟迟未定，甚至还卷入黑帮斗争之中。走投无路之际，刘晶和潇洒决定参加散打比赛，更阴差阳错拜入具有黑社会性质的赵东拳馆。在黑社会师傅（成奎安 饰）的带领下，二人随同前去夜袭霍家拳馆的霍环师傅，籍此机缘，刘晶得以拜入霍师傅门下。二人都对师傅的女儿嘉敏（张敏 饰）存有好感，也由此闹出不少笑话。然而门下大师兄（尹扬明 饰）嫉恨刘晶，设计陷害，致使刘晶被逐出师门。他的未来将何去何从……

经历了上一集的风风雨雨，艾利克斯（林子祥 饰）和朱丽娥（郑裕玲 饰）总算是两情相悦走到了一起。他们决定在新年之后携手步入婚礼的殿堂，然而，在此节骨眼上，艾利克斯被公司紧急召唤加班，两人本来温馨愉快的假期生活泡了汤。 　　乔伊（张曼玉 饰）是艾利克斯的同事，两人双双被派往巴黎出差。爱人不在身边，这让朱丽娥感到十分没有安全感，再加上表哥（许绍雄 饰）的挑拨离间听风就是雨，心态爆炸的朱丽娥决定也前往巴黎，看好自己的未婚夫。一连串的误会让朱丽娥和乔伊之间的关系跌破了冰点，她和艾利克斯的感情也因此产生了裂痕。
