这是一个系列的戏说江湖的轻松喜剧。关中一个普通的小镇——七俠镇，这里有一家同福客栈。就是这间不起眼的江湖客栈，因缘巧合之下汇聚了一群性格各异又活泼搞怪的年轻人：武功高强但初入江湖的郭芙蓉（姚晨 饰）、客栈老板娘佟湘玉（闫妮 饰）、金盘洗手的神偷白展堂（沙溢 饰）、满腹经纶的吕秀才（喻恩泰 饰）、客栈厨师李大嘴（姜超 饰）等等。这群年轻人在同一屋檐下演绎了一幕幕经典的搞笑场面，在欢笑与眼泪中陪伴观众们一起渐渐成长。
年老的劳（沃特尔•马修 饰）有三个女儿，可是他很少与女儿们见面，平常女儿们都只是打电话询问老父亲的情况。身为妇女杂志主编的大女儿乔姬娅（黛安•基顿 饰）每天的工作都非常繁忙，身居要职的她每天都在努力工作；二女儿艾薇（梅格•瑞恩 饰）美丽动人，但也同样与父亲缺少沟通；至于三女儿则是个演员，虽然不是大红大紫，但她仍享受自己的工作。 父亲从来都很少照顾女儿们，也很少关心她们的生活，无形中也成为了女儿与父亲之间的隔阂。父亲有自己孤独的晚年生活，女儿们也有各自要忙碌的工作与生活。 可是当有一天，三姐妹接到老父亲病倒的消息，都纷纷赶到了父亲的身边……
表面是尋常人家，實際為精通千術的業餘俠盜三兄弟在機緣巧合下遇上了老千兩姊妹，大家惺惺相惜，聯手用魔術、千術等方法，將作惡多端的黑幫頭目譚耀文繩之於法。

Two sisters on the cusp of adulthood, Elle and Joy, spend their last week before embarking on their next music tour visiting friends and preparing for the going away party they intend to host. Unable to make progress with her ex-lesbian conversion path, a neurotic "All American" Jill tracks down her butch ex-girlfriend Jamie to prove to herself that she is no longer attracted to her.
